The owners of Dhow House have created a beautiful haven of privacy, style and tranquillity in the heart of Shela village in Lamu. Sleeping up to 14 guests over 7 bedrooms (5 with en suite shower rooms), the house combines the traditional Swahili style with contemporary lines and accents to create an unforgettable whole. Open plan living areas, including a gorgeous sunken living room, are elegantly and fluidly connected. The infinity pool set in the 1.45 acres of lush, tropical gardens features a striking black-and-white mosaic design. The bedrooms are sumptuous and every space has bespoke design features, art and finishes. For those looking to increase their sense of joy, the dedicated yoga and meditation space awaits.
